Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has made a major contribution to the oil and gas production or transmission industry for an extended period of time.
- The recipient must have a minimum of 20 years of measurement service in the industry.
- The recipient must have made a significant contribution directly to measurement practices, regulatory requirements, measurement training, etc.
- The individual must work in the Canadian oil and gas production, consulting or transmission industry.
- The recipient must be directly related to the oil and gas production, consulting or transmission industry not the manufacturing industry.

Measurement Award of Merit
The Measurement Award of Merit is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to his or her company or the oil and gas production or transmission industry. This award is set up to honour those people who have made a contribution for several years or have made a significant contribution during a specific time frame.
- The recipient must have a minimum of 5 years of measurement service in the industry.
- The recipient must have made a significant contribution directly to measurement practices, regulatory requirements, measurement training, etc. within their company or the industry
- The individual must work in the Canadian oil and gas production, consulting or transmission industry.
- The recipient must be directly related to the oil and gas production, consulting or transmission industry not the manufacturing industry.
SAIT and NAIT Awards
In June 2005 The Canadian Institute of Hydrocarbon Measurement established a student award scholarship in each of the Petroleum Engineering Technology and Instrumentation Technology Programs at both SAIT and NAIT.
